Sustainability
At ITAB we have been focusing on sustainability issues for many years as a natural part of our operations and an important part of our overall offering.
We have identified a number of Strategic Priorities to streamline and help drive growth and change in the business. Specific goals and detailed action plans have been prepared for the Strategic Initiatives. One of our priorities is “Sustainable future”.
We collaborate and continuously innovate for a sustainable future. We have clear goals and ambitions for our own operations in terms of sustainable business development, efficiency in the value chain, good working conditions and business ethics.
Focus Areas
In 2015, the UN’s member states adopted a universal agenda that incorporates the Global sustainable development goals. There are 17 of these, acting as a guide for ITAB. There has been additional focus on four of these, with the most significant aspects set out below.
Modern Slavery Policy
ITAB recognises the responsibility that our Group share with our suppliers to tackle the growing global issue of Modern Slavery. ITAB:s commitment to our customers is very clear, we promote a high level of ethical trading both within our business and supply chain; this includes championing better work and working lives.
We wholeheartedly believe that the Modern Slavery Act 2015 is a crucially important development in bettering the lives of our local and global communities and thus we will not trade or partner with any business or organisation which is involved in this shocking practice however remotely or indirectly. This closely parallels our Ethical Trading Policy whereby close compliance monitoring and continuous improvement help drive our business forward.
This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and constitutes our group companies (“ITAB UK”, “ITAB Holdings UK”, & “ITAB Shop Products Ltd’’) slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 1 April 2024.
